Fortunately, there are still affordable vehicles on the market that fit the budget of most buyers—and that’s exactly what we’re going to talk about today.
An attractive price
Unsurprisingly, Hyundai offers the most affordable SUV currently available on the market. While other manufacturers haven’t dared to venture into this segment, the Korean automaker has built a solid reputation in the world of affordable vehicles. We all remember the legendary Accent, whose starting price remained under $10,000 for a long time—something we’re unlikely to see again.
Sure, it may not be listed at $9,999 anymore, but the Hyundai Venue remains a very accessible vehicle with a starting price of just $21,299 before freight and preparation fees. In its base trim, the Korean brand’s small SUV can cost as little as $24,021 plus taxes—well within reach for most budgets.
The Hyundai Venue is so affordable that you can even treat yourself and go for a better-equipped version. The Preferred and Ultimate trims have base prices of $26,021 and $28,521 respectively, including freight and prep fees—which, again, is very reasonable.
Still, if we stick to the base version here, you’ll be glad to know that despite its modest price, it comes with an 8-inch touchscreen and heated front seats—an option not even standard on some vehicles costing more than twice the price of the Venue.
Affordable and economical
The Hyundai Venue not only saves you money on the purchase price. This small SUV is powered by a 1.6-litre 4-cylinder engine that produces 121 horsepower and 113 lb-ft of torque. It’s paired with a continuously variable transmission that sends power to the front wheels. This powertrain allows the 2025 Hyundai Venue to achieve an average fuel consumption of just 7.9 L/100 km in the city and 6.9 L/100 km on the highway.
